Broadway veteran Susan Egan stops by Millie Rehearsal!
On Monday night, Susan Egan (Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie and many others on Broadway) stopped by rehearsal at the Curtis Theatre Brea to work with the cast and provide a different perspective on their characters. The advice she gave was immeasurable and priceless.
Thank you Susan for your time. We were honored to have you and learned a great deal!
Here are some pictures:
Susan works with Mrs. Meers (Dawn Vasco) on her evil prowess during the show-stopping number, They Dont Know.
Miss Dorothy (Bonnie King) is running parts of How the Other Half Lives with Susan. Millie (Brittany Gerardi) studies her movement on some new staging ideas.
Miss Flannery (Tricia Campbell) runs her scene with Millie (Brittany Gerardi). Susan stays behind and yells out ideas and gives them different choices.
Susan explains an entire new thought process to Millie (Brittany Gerardi) for the song Gimme Gimme, deconstructing the song and giving they lyrics new meaning.
Susan gives some pointers on Millie's physicality (Brittany Gerardi-left). Miss Dorothy (Binnie King-right) watches and listens.
The cast and crew pose with Susan Egan. Immediately following, she gave an inspirational pep-talk on stylization of their characters.
Thanks again Susan!!!
